D-UB GUIDE
How to translate and dub a video
This guide creates translated speech from a recorded video. Use Subtitles if you only need readable captions.
Reviewed
Before you start
- Sign in, have a permitted MP4, MOV, MKV or WEBM up to 10 GB, or a supported public HTTPS link.
- Choose a target language and prepare to approve the quote. A subscription is optional.
- For a first project, use a clear short recording you own; a quiet source makes review easier.
Translate a video in Studio
- Open Studio and choose a video file or Public HTTPS address. If the source editor opens, edit the source or continue unchanged.
- Select Dub under Processing mode. Choose Original language or Auto detect, then Target language.
- Select Preset voice and a compatible voice. For multiple voices, review Speaker detection and any speaker choices.
- Choose whether to create subtitle files for the dub. Review the other settings without assuming they are required.
- Click Create job. Review the prepared job and quote, then confirm the displayed payment or credit action when ready.
- Follow the processing stages. When outputs become available, play the video, review warnings and download the files shown.
Example to try
For a one-speaker lesson you own, select English as the original and Brazilian Portuguese as the target. Choose a compatible preset voice. This is a practice configuration, not a claim of a new processed example.
Expected result and review
A successfully delivered job provides its available video outputs. Check the first and last spoken words, names, meaning, phrase speed and the ending. Repeat for the full recording before sharing.
If something goes wrong
- Blocked public link: upload a permitted local copy.
- Voice-language warning: choose a compatible voice; do not change the target just to silence the warning.
- Capacity wait: monitor the submitted job rather than creating duplicate paid jobs.
- Failure or uncertain payment: check job/account status and contact support with the order reference before paying again.
Questions and answers
Can I make several language versions?
Create and review a separate project for each target language. This guide does not create a switchable multi-audio player.
Will creating a job charge me automatically?
Review and confirm the displayed quote and payment or credit action. Account creation alone does not authorize a charge.
