D-UB GUIDE

How to use an authorized voice reference

Select a voice reference deliberately and listen to the finished speech before sharing it.

Reviewed

Before you start

  • Obtain the required permission for the source video and the reference voice.
  • Use clear reference speech with little background noise; a music-heavy sample makes the voice harder to assess.
  • Sign in and review the current input guidance beside the reference control.

Set up Voice Clone

  1. Upload the video in Studio and select Voice clone.
  2. Choose the original and target languages. For the original speaker, choose Clone original speaker from video.
  3. For a supplied reference, select the reference option, upload audio or open the reference recorder and allow microphone access.
  4. Play and inspect the reference. Review Speaker detection and the reference guidance for multiple speakers.
  5. Choose optional subtitle output if needed, then click Create job. Review and confirm the quote when ready.
  6. Listen to each speaker in the delivered video and review timing warnings before downloading or publishing.

Practice without a quality claim

Try a permitted single-speaker introduction with your own reference. Compare identity, pronunciation and short phrases. No newly processed clone or universal voice-quality result is asserted by this guide.

Common problems

  • Microphone denied: check browser permission and the selected device.
  • Unclear reference: rerecord a clean permitted sample and review it first.
  • Voice or language validation error: follow the input guidance; do not assume all references and languages are interchangeable.
  • Mouth movements differ from translated speech: cloning does not provide lip sync.

Questions and answers

Is a supplied recording always necessary?

No. The original-speaker option can use the speaker from the source video. A supplied reference is a separate choice.
