D-UB GUIDE

How to start a Live translation session

Prepare capture and output before a session so you can follow translated speech and text.

Reviewed

Before you start

  • Sign in and use a browser with supported audio capture; microphone or screen/tab permission may be needed.
  • Use headphones where useful to avoid feeding output back into capture.
  • Live has a separate balance and session pricing. Check the available option in your account.

Prepare the session

  1. Open Live and use Choose your audio to select the appropriate source. Confirm the microphone or the browser share-audio option when offered.
  2. Choose the target language and available speech output controls. Use the output check and confirm the intended device.
  3. Review optional duration, recording and Keep transcript on this device controls.
  4. Review the price and balance; confirm the requested session action when ready. Wait for preparation and the countdown before speaking or playback.
  5. Follow Original and translated text in the session panel. Stop when finished and wait for finishing to complete.
  6. Review optional saved items on this device and download the available transcript or audio if you need a copy.

Expected result

Live displays session text and available speech output. It is separate from Studio's exported video workflow. Saved local items depend on the options you chose and the browser's storage.

Troubleshooting

  • No capture: check permissions, the source device and whether the browser shared audio.
  • No output: check mute, the chosen device and browser playback permission.
  • Feedback: use headphones and keep output out of the captured input.
  • Connection or balance failure: follow the session notice and check usage before starting another session.

Questions and answers

Are local saved items stored permanently?

No permanence is promised. They are optional browser-local items; download what you need before clearing browser data.
